In the Swiss  Pavilion  at  Expo Zaragoza 2008  we will show you some of the expertise that the Swiss water industry has accumulated over the years. Switzerland possesses over 5 per cent of Europe’s reserves of fresh water, while accounting for less than 0.4 per cent of its total surface area. The quality of its water is generally high today. Mineral water is bottled from over 20 springs. This means quality of life for Switzerland’s inhabitants and neighbours as well as for anyone who visits it. But clean water and a stable ecosystem cannot be taken for granted even in Switzerland. They are the result of many decades of protection efforts at a national level as well as in the context of partnership with other countries.
